A friend has 4 HDDs in RAID (2 + 2) andchanged the PSU. We are not super comfortable tinkering the insides of the computer, but I think we managed to do the job. But when we disconnected and reconnected several cables in the process, we're not sure that the power and sata cables linking to the HDDs weren't switched in order. Can that have any impact on the RAID? Switched SATA cables can make the PC think that HDD A is now B and vice versa and scramble all the information? What should we do to make sure everything is okay?

So far we didn't notice any problems, besides his video software now hanging when he selects certain transitions/FX.

ouch, if the sata cables aren't back in the right order and all the drives are the same model the MB might mix them up.

go into your RAID array and have it attempt to rebuild itself just in case?

there is no raid (2+2), you must mean RAID 10, which is a combo of RAID 1 and 0.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Yeah. However, from what it sounds like, it seems like you guys have got it to boot, so I think you guys got them in the right order, and shouldn't have any issues related to RAID. I don't know too much about it though, other than that when I broke my RAID 0 setup, my computer wouldn't boot at all, it would only POST. So I think you guys are fine.

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
