Hello

I just did a reinstall on my laptop

And when i press alt f4 theres a update and restart option

So i click that

When the update stuck at 98%

It said

Failure configuring windows update reverting changes

I wait about 10 minutes and it restart

And the same reverting changes again

Cannot go to desktop

Stuck looping at reverthing changes

If you are stuck at looping, then safe mode is a good option, and then restore to a point before you updated.

If all else fails, use the window installation disk to repair the install

Are hou alle to boot in safe mode?

Already fix the stuck at looping part

i just let it do its thing (2 hours of looping)

and it fix itself

 

but i still cannot update the windows update

everytime i check for updates,

it installed and tell me to restart the pc

and when i restart the pc

it stuck in looping again

 

so now, i just disable windows update completely

if i just turn off my windows update, is that not okay?

no dont touch the PC when it updating at shut down

 

it will turn off when its done

i mean , i disable my windows update settings to "never check for updates"

i have been using this setting since i reinstall my windows

oh you can leave it as that but you still need to manually check for updates
