All of it is fine. If you don't know how to do a bios update then get a Z97

if you go with a Haswell Refresh CPU (4790, 4790K, 4690K etc.) go with a Z97 motherboard to avoid headaches.

if im geting air cooler for the cpu and a cheaper one, it looks pretty solid to me

will i be able to upgrade this computer in like 2-3 years?

the budget pretty similiar to what you gave, around 1000-1200$

Also i dont understand why i need the Z97  and not z87

The Z87 is an older board and doesn't come with the correct BIOS for the I7 4790 or i5 4690. You can manually update the bios but it's complicated and would just be easier to buy a Z97.

Could you explain to me what is Bios? is it realy important to update it?

Bios stands for Basic Input/Output System. It is the firmware on your motherboard which controls all the hardware connected to it. If you are not familiar with using a bios I suggest you do some reading before putting your computer together. You'll need to know at least the basics to get your computer to boot up (unless you get really lucky)

Give this a read for overview: http://computer.howstuffworks.com/bios.htm

I would also read some basic tutorials on computer building and keep asking questions, we're here to help.

http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-build-a-computer/

http://lifehacker.com/5828747/how-to-build-a-computer-from-scratch-the-complete-guide

Z97 is just the newest chipset. I look at it this way, if you're building a new computer would you put a old chipset in it? Not saying it's bad by any means, just not current.

The build I posted above leaves room to grow. You could add a 2nd video card and up to 16gb more RAM with the space left as you felt you needed/could afford it.

Z87 will still work with one or two video cards, but the motherboard you have selected only has enough PCI express slots to support one card. You would need a different motherboard with SLI support.

Here are the main differences for Z97: supports Devils canyon Haswells out of box without bios update (i5-4690k & i7-4790k). Supports M.2 and SATA express

If cost is an issue you could get a Asrock Z97 Extreme3 which supports SLI for $99-105 depending on vendor, cheaper than the board you have selected.  http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z97extreme3

Price isn't always everything when it comes to computer parts. More expensive does not always mean more better. It's not a bad board for the price point and would give you the option of getting a 2nd video card in the future

Yeah you would be good if you got the bios updated but really there are much better options.

For your needs you really don't need anything more expensive than the Asrock Extreme3 I suggested. The only real benefit you would get with that over the mPro4 would be the ability to get a 2nd video card (room to upgrade) and not having to update the bios to work with the processor you selected.

Go with whatever makes you happy man, you'll have a good system either way.
