Hello!

I have being experiencing artifacts since changing my gfx card. Example http://www.twitch.tv/bytesauce/c/2547684

The problem I have is that if I RMA the card I'm not sure tests will show up any error. Furmark and MSI Kombustor don't appear to show the artifacts up when they are in burn mode. The occurrence of them is actually quite random. It can happen whilst browsing the internet or playing games.

My previous card never had artifacts show up, only when I upgraded the card did they show up. I decided to clean all the crap off my computer by restoring from an image when I first installed windows and installed required programs. This didn't seem to help. I then upgraded to Haswell so new mobo and CPU but kept the previous install of the OS. Still didn't seem to stop it.

Is there a chance it may be a software problem? Or any other problem for that matter.

Thanks

Current Spec:

- i5 4670k

- Gigabyte Z87 D3HP

- 8Gb RAM

- Crucial M4 256Gb SSD

- MSI 7950 OC Boost Edition.

- Corsair HX 650 Watt PSU

- Xonar DGX soundcard.

Info from Furmark: Catalyst 13.1 - 9.012-121219a-154961C-ATI (12-19-2012)

There were artifact issues on those drivers..Update to the 13.6 beta drivers and your issues should go away..Make sure you use the AMD uninstall utility to remove old drivers before you install new ones..

Here is link to uninstall utility

And here is link to newest drivers..These are for windows 7 or 8 64 bit..So if you have 32bit then use other drivers..

Try this and let me know if you still have issues and we can try something else.. :)

Do this and check yourself manually. Manually is better than a program doing it for you.

That could be windows related..Just like when my mouse pointer turns in to this weird line comb looking thingy..

Maybe. I assume you haven't found a solution to it. It only occurred when I changed my graphics card so maybe it is a persisting bug with windows and AMD cards.

I may think about re installing windows fully rather then from an image.

Give that a shot and if you still have any issues RMA that thing..Are you still getting artifacts while gaming?

Do you know your GPU temps when these artifacts happen?

At load my card maxes out at 70-75c. That is running stress tests. I haven't ever recorded the temp when an artifact has happened because its so unpredictable. The driver update seems to have reduced the number of artifacts I seem to be getting but obviously not completely.

Mention when you RMA it that any errors that are coming up may not actually come up when they test it.
