Desk Thread? Desk Thread.

My birthday is growing close and my step father who's a wonderful cabinetmaker and all around carpenter. Previously he's built entire courthouses and furnishing them. He's volunteered to build me a desk, on the grounds I find a similar desk for him to more or less copy as he hates designing things like this and, lacking in desk expertise I figured I'd take suggestions. The timing for this is perfect for me as my current Ikea desk is in shambles.

TLDR: Suggest desks to be copied/recreated probably with some mods.

2.What type of desk?, corner, straight, tiered, shelf's, etc.

3.What material? all wood?, all metal, wood top metal legs, glass, etc.

I'm sure i speak for most people here in saying, we don't like doing ALL the research for a vague question

1. I have the master bedroom of my house so space isn't much of a concern biggest issue is door width is ~32" (inches)

2. Corner or Straight

3. All or Mostly wood is what it'll bade made of, but suggest anything as it'll probably be recreatable with wood

I'm not asking for research just post a desk you own or would like to own, I left it vague intentionally to give people "artistic freedom" or something similar.

I am a big Fan of corner desks but if you have limited room why not have your main desk area with just a little lip around it? i find this helpful to put things such as your tower or anything else off to the side so you can have your gaming set up in front of you without having to worry about space.
