What GPU Should I Buy ?

given that the only two cards from nvidia under that price point are the 960 and the 970, you'd be best off going with the 970. 

you are pretty much limited to GTX970 then

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

if you're sticking with nvidia you only have the 970 to choose from in your budget.

Look, if you plan to wait for the new AMD series, chances are there'll be discussion about something new coming out straight after. 

 

It goes with everything related with computing hardware - unless the release is confirmed and very near, don't wait around for the next product to be released.

 

The best card in your budget would definitely be the Nvidia GTX 970, which is definitely no slouch. Best in its class in terms of performance and efficiency.
