Posted April 1, 2015 Are there any ways to get Windows 8.1 for less of a price than windows $99? I have seen g2a.com and it seems almost too good to be true. Is that a legit way to get it? Will it work just as good as buying directly from Microsoft?
Posted April 1, 2015 i believe people have had luck with g2a, but there has been some sketchy news surrounding g2a though. I think it would be best to purchase it through a legit verified reseller. Posted April 1, 2015 Author yeah G2A is legit but they sell MDSN keys which expire in a year or two by that do you mean that you won't be able to purchase them in a year or two or do you mean that the OS will stop working in a year or two
 Posted April 1, 2015 by that do you mean that you won't be able to purchase them in a year or two or do you mean that the OS will stop working in a year or two i mean the OS will become "deactivated" in a few years asking for you to activate it with a key the key you bought from G2A expired and now you need a new key if you want to reactivate windows you can still use windows without activating, but theres a bunch of problems like no security updates, some stuff doesnt work, and a bunch of other stuff that idk about because I always use a full OS NEW PC build: Blank Heaven minimalist white and black PC Old S340 build log "White Heaven" The "LIGHTCANON" flashlight build log Project AntiRoll (prototype) Custom speaker project Spoiler Ryzen 3950X | AMD Vega Frontier Edition | ASUS X570 Pro WS | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB | NZXT H500 | Seasonic Prime Fanless TX-700 | Custom loop | Coolermaster SK630 White | Logitech MX Master 2S | Samsung 980 Pro 1TB + 970 Pro 512GB | Samsung 58" 4k TV | Scarlett 2i4 | 2x AT2020
 Posted April 7, 2015 theres no permanent activation for windows 8 only kms servers and auto reset after 6 months There is, retail copies of Windows 8 are permanently activated. OEM and Enterprise flavors are the ones that need to be activated every 6 months against KMS servers.
 You'll get the free upgrade, but it still doesn't magically transform into a legally licensed version as clarified by Microsoft. Posted April 7, 2015 If you don't want any of the proposed suggestions, if you are a student, you can get Windows 8 Pro as student pricing for 70$ at the Microsoft Store online. Check it out. If you are a student and your school (ask the IT department) is part of MSDNAA or DreamSpark Premium, then you have Windows 7 and 8 with all other Microsoft software ready to be downloaded for free.
