I know nothing about them, but I want one, for not to much money.

Idk, I'm not sure how much soldering irons cost.

I've owned this one for 4 years, hasn't failed me yet.

I've built 3 PC's, but none for myself... In fact, I'm using an iMac that my dad bought for me as my desktop. Awkward...

Please don't say "SSD drive." By doing so, you are literally saying "Solid State Drive Drive" and causing my brain cells to commit suicide. The same applies to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express).

Get an adjustable one. There are many knockoffs of the $38 weller that work fairly well too. But that is a good price for a weller soldering station. I personally own a knock off and love it. I also use the more expensive one that is linked above at work and I love that one too. 40w could be kind of limiting if you are working with thicker wire, but it can get the job done if you are patient.

Depends on what you want soldering iron for,if you do a lot of pcb work then a solder station is OK if you want to do wiring joining Heat shrinking the a gas iron like Portasol or Weller could be the go. I use gas irons daily for the portability, convenience and  the variety of tips and you can use them where there is no power ie in building basements under houses in roofs etc
