LTT Heatsinks Graph

mvitkun

not sure if it's been done already or not,but in case it hasn't I made a graph that show all the heatsinks.

easier to see how much of a difference there is between them when making a decision between one or the other.

EDIT:

Re-ordered them so that it goes linearly.

EXTRA INFO

these are all temps using Noctua fans.

All temps corrected to 20C.

The 280mm AIO's are using NF-A14s.

The 240mm AIO's as well as the 120mm heatsink(s) are using NF-F12s.

stop.gifThe legend switches between graphs, the color that represents the heatsink changes from the Load graph to the Idle graph.stop.gif

Hmm, what is the ambient temp? Is it the 20C you state at the bottom?

yeah as you can see it says @20C,and in the Y axis it also says Corrected to 20C.

they took the Delta and added 20C to it to even out the temps.

Wow, just looking at the graph worries me if I wanted to run the same clock with the same volts with the same CPU, it would make my temps sit around the 80-90 zone at full loads.

No no, on a H100i, with my aircon dead and taken out, my room at around noon can get to 40C, so if those temps are corrected the 20C, the H80i would just not work at all.

Maybe you should add the part about the silver arrow running on NF-A15s to the side of the graph as well?

I could just take out the second one with it using A15s all together,I think it makes it confusing when there are so many variables.

I se two reds, disturbing, mind making one Black or white?

actually there are three (counting the brownish red),and I'm just using an auto-graph feature so I can't change the color, sorry.

but they're so far apart, and the legend on the right is in the order that each heatsink is placed in the graph

clearing the silver arrow extreme using NF-A15s got rid of one of the reds, better now? :)

@Nit3Rid3R what do you think?

Seems like the cooler I will be taking (silver arrow extreme) is a good choice for air cooling :D
