so my system is

CPU - I7-4930K

Graphic card - MSI Gtx 770

Ram - Kingston x4 DDR3 HyperX 1600MHz 4GB HyperX Genesis, CL9-9-9-27, 240pin

Mobo - Gigabyte X79-UD3 ( 2011 socket )

Cpu cooler - Corsair H100i

Chassie - CM 690 IIII

PSU - Corsair CS 750M, 750W PSU ATX 12V v2.4, 80 Plus Gold, Modula

cpu oc to stable 3.8ghz max temp 68 during load

gpu oc'd slightly ~50ish core~  max temp 80 during load

so i havent had any issues with what i'm currently running until today,

but today when i played poe for the first time since i oc'd my cpu/gpu after about 40ish minutes it just randomly shut off  ( booted up went back to doing the same thing except started real temp and started to monitor the temps of my cpu/gpu and nothing out of the ordinary )

my first guess was oc issues but i've only encounterd bsod when it was oc related

second guess was temps but as i said max temp 68 on cpu and 80 on gpu should be no problem whatsoever

this is my 3rd guess and it seems a bit unlikely: the power went out in my house/village for about 0.1 sec while i was blinking so i didnt notice that the ceiling light went off/on

any ideas of what could've happen? ( my power button on the pc is also pretty damn hard to reach so didnt accidentally turned it off that way )

never knew about that t4i,

The computer has rebooted without properly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the computer has stopped responding, if it has crashed or if power is unexpectedly interrupted.

so i guess it was just a 1 time thing?

run intel XTU + a GPU stress test and monitor the temps on both the CPU and GPU

if it doesnt crash then you know your hardware is fine

there is your answer...no problems before, now there is a problem...only thing that has changed is your overclock.

For how long did you run the stress test? It can take awhile before you find an instability. Try run IntelBurnTest for at least 20 passes.

I'm still running on my core i7-920
