Why isnt the RAM working

Just bought new RAM (Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9) but it dont work on my mothercard (Asus A88X-Plus).

Can it be that the mothercard dosent support 1600MHz memory or what?

Nonsense! The Mobo supports it.

How do you know its not working *squints* have you tried other ram on the motherboard?

If its not working you can always RMA it

It does support it. What do you mean by it doesn't work? It just doesn't boot, or it isn't running at 1600MHz?

 

Try one stick at a time, in different slots if it won't boot. May be a dead stick or slot.

In my personal experience the only thing that shows up DOA more than dimms is hard drives.

This right here, what is going on? And the model of your RAM would be nice too.

The computer starts but the monitor shows nothing, and the MemOK! led on the Motherboard is glowing which means that there is something wrong with the RAM
