I dont know for what reason but im not getting the performance out of my new build as expected, actually quite the opposite performance readings. I dont know if that has something to do that i havent updated the firmware of my ssd's or not. I thought updating them werent that vital. I dont know what the problem is with my. I will list the issues im having and after that my build setup. Please help me out, this is getting really frustrating.

List of WTFs;
- Most of the times when i start up my pc, it freezes in boot sesion or windows loading screen and forces me to do a couple of restarts.
- When i throw something in the recycle bin and i want to clear it, it takes it 15 - 20 seconds to pop up ''are you sure'' message.
- Im getting low FPS ratings at games with Ultra settings at 1080p!

Here are my specs;

·        ASUS X99 DELXUE

·        INTEL İ7 5930K

·        EVGA GTX980 SC ACX 2.0

·        CORSAİR VENGEANCE LPX 4GB QUAD KİT DDR4 2400MHz

·        CORSAİR OBSİDİAN 750D CASE

·        CORSAİR HX850i 850WATT PSU

·        COOLER MASTER NEPTON 280l

·        SAMSUNG 840EVO 120GB SSD

·        SAMSUNG 840EVO 500GB SSD

Here you have a 3D mark result of my gpu;

Note: I haven't overclocked anything and there is no SSD Raid going on. I simply plugged everything where its supposed to be and installed Windows7 n one ssd and used the other ssd for games. Again, i havent updated the firmware of the SSD's as it requieres to do so before installing anything on it and becouse i dont have another pc to spare, i couldnt do it.

If overclocking the CPU and GPU would make a significant difference i will concider overclocking which my knowledge of is second to none.

drivers?

did you set the boot priority?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Are your SSDs in RAID 0 AHCI?

RAID 0 and AHCI dont mix

you can only select RAID 0 or AHCI

More specifically, the bios only has three options: IDE, AHCI and RAID.

I would say drivers. Have you downloaded all the latest drivers from the website? Don't use the CDs that your stuff comes with. They're prolly outdated.

War_Raider, I am actually having the same problems with close to the same specs on my rig. (link to my build in pcpartpicker in my profile) I have updated all the latest drivers from the manufacture site's and still getting crappy performance...  I have had to re-install Windows 7 two times before getting smart and backing up my SSD's...  My thought is that Windows either doesn't like the new x99 chipset, the ssd's or both...  Which is why I can't wait for windows 10 to come out so I can get the free update.  (I might even just install the technical preview...)  Just my two cents.

Yeah i kinda regret it tbh. I would've gone for a X97 Sabertooth gaming platform if id knew how much of a disappointment this is going to turn out.

Temperatures? Hardware failure?

Try stress testing the GPU and CPU for a few hours, keep the logger on and see what it says if you jump in any issues.

What Windows version do you use?

First i wanna thank all of you for taking some time.

1. All the drivers are up to date provided by the manufacturer websites.

2. I did not raid my SSD's. I just plugged them in and selected mys 120GB ssd as my OS drive.

3. Im using Windows 7 Ultimate.

4. I've stress tested every hardware i got. Temps and numbers are looking just fine. Thats my problem, everything looks great in numbers but it just doesn't work out that way.

5. Boot priority is set to the 120GB SSD with the OS on it.

I'll run a memtes to confirm that the rams are either ok or screwed. Let you know if its them afterwards. Now for the ssds, the damned samsung ones have an option to update the firmware on it, could it be possible that the ssds are not performing like they are supposed because of that?

one other thing to

is your copy of windows 7 updated to sp1 at min?

I might even try installing windows 8.1 and see if it has similar probs

u can use it for like 3 days or something before it requires you to activate

could also be one of the drivers you installed

that firmware upgrade is for the slowing down of the drives over time

unless they are from an older build..I doubt that would be the prob
