$2600 AUD Build no Monitor or Peripherals Included

Hey Everyone,

 

I'm a little knew here so I'm not sure about the protocol but I'm building a pc for $2600 AUD and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for any of the parts listed below. Please try to minimise cost when recommending parts as I don't want to purchase anything more that $2600. Thank you, and have an awesome day!

Or just get a Titan X. :)

Looks like a very solid build :) thought about trimming back on a few area's and upgrading the GPU to a titan X?

Titan X is $1500+ down here in Oz.  Considering a 980 is already ~$800+ and the rest of the proposed build roughly roughly totals $1500 by itself I doubt that's an option.

 

But yes I agree that things could be cut down on.  @Auratius are you doing any content creation work e.g. music, video, AutoCAD, etc? If not you could cut back to a 4690K and 8GB of RAM which is more than sufficient for gaming.  That would save you a few hundred which you could allocate to other areas, such as another GPU or a better PSU, mobo, etc.  Otherwise the build is fairly solid, nothing glaringly wrong with it.  Personally I would opt for an EVGA PSU and a different motherboard, but I see you're going for a blue theme with the mobo and ram.  Might want to consider a Gigabyte G1 980 to match the colour scheme, unless you're thinking about watercooling in future and want EVGA's warranty stuff.
