Gas station charging twice? (Question)

So I got gas yesterday morning with my card at the pump. It came out to $32.93. I left and went about my day. Now today as I look at my bank statement it says that at 2:38 I was charged $35.00 at said gas station and then at 2:50 I was charged $32.93. Both are pending at the moment, but I'm not sure if this is a normal thing that happens or if I've been screwed. Does anyone have some knowledge to shed on me?

1. $35 could have been an overage fee, did you have the proper funds in your account yesterday?

2. $35 could have been a placeholder charge. 

3. Contact your bank ASAP.

I bet the $35 is a placeholder until the station knew what you actually bought. Keep an eye on it, but I bet that $35 goes away.
