Need a rendering CPU

Go to solution Solved by david cassar,

he would have to get a new board either way, P33 is socket 775

I believe he meant the MSI h81 p33 which is micro atx board which is socket 1150. Op get the Xeon 1231 v3.

Heey guys,

Im looking for a good render cpu, and i was wondering since im on a bit of a budget, do i need to go intel or amd and which one?

my budget is around the 300$ mark and i have a MSI H31M P33 motherboard.

and what do i need more than just a fast cpu?

Thanks!

Donald

If you have that board then you need to get a Intel CPU as a AMD one wont fit.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

OP do you mean H81M P33?

If you already have the board then an Intel CPU would be great. For ~$250 you can get an Intel Xeon 1231V3 if you have a dedicated video card. If you need onboard graphics, then for ~$275 you can get an Intel Xeon 1245V3.
