Dxtory Low FPS

I have dxtory and was recording minecraft. Before recording I had 100+ FPS. Once I started record it went down to 11 and stayed at 11, then when I stopped it jumped back up to 100+ FPS. Anyway to fix this?

CPU: some amd thing Motherboard: its black RAM: its memory thats for sure GPU: r7 260x Case: corsair spec 01 Storage: 1tb of it PSU: 430w, so many watts

Display: its asus Cooling: fans Keyboard: logitech g710+ #browns4lyfe Mouse: its a logitech Sound: its what you hear Operating System: winders

You buy a better CPU and GPU.

Recording uses a lot of CPU, get a better CPU. Or even GPU, nVidia cards can accelerate recording.

Yeah recording really brings down your fps when you have weak hardware. If you had an nvidia GPU you could use shadowplay which wouldnt affect your fps, but all you can do is try AMD game DVR and maybe that will give you a bit more performance while recording.

 

But other than that, you just need better hardware.

Try using something that does the H.264 encoding on the GPU.

  1. Download this.
  2. Right click and run install.bat as an administrator.
  3. Open Dxtory and change codec to "OpenEncodeVFW".
  4. From there you can toy with the codec settings for optimal quality to compression.
