What should I upgrade?

Despite you saying not to tell you this: save it for later. Your build is a beast. I guess if you really wanted to you could slap another 980 in there but that's about it.

i'd personally upgrade storage. i have no clue how well the cpu cooler performs, but it seems like a weak spot for me.

And? It performs better than two 970s in SLI. More Cores, More VRAM, slightly lower clocks (which can be OC'd).

It sounds good but if he plans on getting this anytime soon then he should just get another 980  the titanX is sold out and he would have to sell his 980 to get it.

Yeah, if you dont buy it direct from nVidia, you cant get the pretty box .

 

I do agree though. If I had $1000 and a rig like this, I'd throw $1000 into my truck.

No, not really. In one test, Shadow of Morridor (or however its spelled) used over 6.5GB of VRAM from the Titan X.

 

And the 4790K only outperforms the 5960X in single core-based games. In multi-core games, the 5960X wrecks the 4970K.
