A used processor

Hello.

I've recently posted a topic about a used i7-3820. The seller wanted 150€ back then, but lowered the priced to 105. I can probably haggle a bit lower. Here's the link to the previous post.

As long as you can find a X79 board at a sensible price it makes sense as an offer now

For me to upgrade to a 2x 6core Xeons will cost me 100 pounds(140 euros) but its for the LGA1366 socket . As for LGA2011 the price is good, maybe try and lower it.

Id recommend it at that price, As @harrynowl says, Find a X79 board at a price that makes sense and you're done.

As long as the CPU havent had worthless cooling you wont see much of a performance difference between new/old.

What is a sensible price for a motherboard of this range? On the website of my local store I only found 200€+ ones.

Edit: I also checked some german stores and the prices are the same

Zanimivo kolko nas je slovencev tukaj. Glede na to da ne dubis maticne zraven ti priporocam novi i5 in novo maticno. Glede trgovin pa nemcija oz ce v sloveniji potem funtech(lj) ali mlacom (mb)

600? it shows 150 for me. I am sure you can email him and work somethign out (for example you pay shipping). He stated that if you were to buy an x79 extreme11 new, it would be 640 euros and then cpu cooler would be 35 euros
