Unreal Engine Games Won't Work

So I recently installed a new motherboard and CPU and reinstalled Windows 8.1. I've now redownloaded a bunch of my games, however I've run into a major hitch; it seems that Unreal Engine games flat out won't run. So far I've only seen this issue with two UE games, but they are also the only UE games I've tried, and other games seem to be just fine. The culprits thus far are Abyss Odyssey and Singularity. Both of them will launch the splash screen, then have a split second of black screen and come up with the "insert game name here".exe has stopped working. Any ideas on just what in the hell could be causing these issues with Unreal games?

I'm doing that right now, but this has literally never fixed any issue I've ever had in the past, so I'm doing it as a mere formality.

I believe that Steam covered that when I launched the games for the first time. But, just to be sure, what exactly would I be wanting to install--and where would I find it?

If its on steam try verifying local game cache. Solves about 80% of my issues.

I've done this with both games as well, and it did nothing.

Any other idea for this? I have no idea how to proceed here.
