well I havent deleted it yet but I paused and restarted the wu.... Now it says 8.9 days xD

ill try deleting it

you will have to let it recalculate again the wu messed up. did you have done some OC on the card? don't delete a wu unless it is you're last option.

suggestion for stuck on 99.99% on a WU

1 Pause everything

2 set the slider on light

3 Wait like 10 minutes

4 Close the F@H client

5 reboot system for any stuck folding prosesses

6 start the F@H client

7 set the slider to full

8 unpause all of the WU

9 wait like 4 hours

If that does not work delete that WU and let it do hiss job

if that does not work either delet F@H and reinstall drivers and reboot.

My work unit has been stuck at 99.99% for over an hour... what should I do?

Put some purell on it.

lol um well you might have to delete the work unit. Does your log say anything and do you have an overclock?

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Close out, and try again. It'll resume from it's save point.

If that fails, reinstall.

Its a common bug, especially with AMD hardware. It happens to me if I pause a particular unit too many times.

Two suggestions:

1) Try pausing the unit for a minute or two, when you start it again it should jump back to a lower percentage and continue normally from there.

2) If that doesn't work, just delete the GPU slot and re add it. By doing so it dumps the work unit.

Pause the slot. Close, restart the Client and resume. As

the others have said it should restart from a save point.

If it doesn't, you could alternatively delete the Wu and

restart the Client.

For manual deletion i would have a looksy at the bottom

Not sure what you mean.

If you mean if there are other ways to fold, then no only desktop and web.

If you mean to control/monitor folding there's also webcontrol: http://folding.stanford.edu/client/

To me it sounds like you need to smear yourself with some

good old patience :P, the estimates will be completely wacky

at first. You need to wait and let it settle in. I would guess

that the wu reset itself like we expected earlier, but you didn't

let it start properly.

A stuck wu is one thing, but if the estimates are wacky, all

you can do is wait, if it doesn't go anywhere after a good

while, then you can start considering deleting it. Well, the

same kinda applies to a stuck wu aswell.

Also, what people refer to as the "web client" is specifically

the chrome plugin that lets you fold in the chrome browser.

But you also have the "web control" that is tied to your desktop

client and not actually folding via the web browser. Two

separate things, the chrome(web client) doesn't support

gpu folding at all.

FYI - always check the logs - this will typically give you a lot of info. Many times a WU can be stuck at 99% simply because a server is offline. Servers go offline from time to time and can get busy and reject submissions for a while. I have seen it take two days to submit a WU on a down server. I would give it a day at least before delete a WU, as this wastes a lot of your resources.

Also to note, if your failed WU's (failed to submit to Stanford) goes above 10%, you will no longer qualify for QRB - so keep that in mind when deleting.

Quick return bonus points, basically get more points

the quicker you return wu's that follow that point

scheme. But to qualify you need to return 10+ QRB

eligible wu's with a return rate of atleast 80% using

a passkey.

you can find some terminology explanations aswell

as info on passkeys in the FAQ.

thanks! I think your advice finally helped but I cant be sure because I tried a bunch of other things to try to fix the problem. Anyways, now it sits at 9 hours remaining which is at least better than the 8 day estimate before... Hopefully the estimate will drop more and eventually stabilize back to normal like in the past. I'll post int his thread when that happens.
