Does anyone on this forum play golf? I'm leaving work early to play golf. I've been playing for 22 years and I'm average at the sport. 80 to 85 on an 18 hole course. Please share your best golf moments. Any hole-in-ones?

I haven't played golf properly since I was 10/11. I often go down the driving range now and just hit some balls. Wish I kept going with it, really.

I have played golf exactly once, and it wasn't a big success. It ended at the 6th hole, when I accidentally threw a club into a lake, and I had to retrive it.

I also once shot golf balls after a car (Fight Club style), but that probably doesn't count.

Have since I was 5.  Never did anything serious with it due to life things, but it's a relaxing sport you can play and compete in until you're 80 without people thinking you're weird.

I rarely play golf but when I have it has been with my dad.  I am expecting to play a round with him once the weather is good and the Holiday Inn course is said to be ok.  I really look forward to the times I play golf with him and wish it was constant but I can't afford it.  I also don't have the transportation to make it easy to get the clubs to and from the courses.

I don't play that much. I usually go with my dad because he pays for it. Golf can be expensive. I just buy used golf balls because the brand I like is expensive.

 

Does mini golf count?

Sure. I love mini-golf.

 

 

What golf ball brand does everyone use? I like Titleist. I've never had a hole-in-one.

I play golf casually with my family (low 90s on 18 holes)  and I have a couple of funny moments. 

 

1st:  I manage to not only once but twice on a tee off hit the tee out from under the ball and have the ball go nowhere. 

2nd:  My uncle who hits the crap out of the ball goes up to the tee on a long par 5.  He went up to smack it as hard as he could (As my dad says clench your buttcheeks and let it rip) and completely wiffed.  (I'm sure we've all done it at least once.)

3rd: My cousin managed to hit a ball basically straight up on a full contact drive (probably around 150-200 yds straight up) while trying to hit over water.
