Until the game is benchmarked it's hard to say. I've seen "recomended" specs from developers before that were ridiculous.

Also what's your price range because that's going to ultimately determine What you get.

first of all, welcome to the forum.

EDIT: ninja'd by OP

we do kinda need a budget to decide whats right for you, PSU spec is also an important bit of info.

since you're already in the Nvidia camp, i'd suggest sticking (easier on the driver install y'know)

i dont directly recall the price of the card, but a 770 seems in place here. if its too high i'm pretty sure the 960 will be right in your budget.

For that price it would depend on your location and power supply. If you're in the US and have a decent PSU, you could squeeze in an R9 290 into your budget and that would provide amazing performance.

You won't have to change anything else. 2700K and 8GB is plenty for GTA5.

if you have a 3-400 budget for gpu, get a 970. you can probably find a 290x for VERY cheap and its a very capable card.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.
