I made a mainboard shield, and was wondering if this would print well. It's modeled to imitate the ROG Formula boards I/O cover. Any suggestions?

It's a sketchup file, BTW.

Lets be honest now... That doesn't look very ghetto to me. All I can hope is that excessive amounts of zip ties will be used to hold it in place.

Either that or I'll add in a PCIe bracket. And you thought the design was OK?

The design looks very professional. My version of that would be hand drawn images.

What do you intend on making it out of? You could potentially use the motherboard stand offs as the holders for this...

Whatever 3d printing plastic is available at my school. I was thinking of mounting it using the PCIe brackets, but actually, that's more efficient. Thanks for the idea.

Rule one: Don't ask the skrub

I have no idea what that is lol. I normally just let the Makerbot do its job.

When the 3D printer prints it can do a shell of solid plastic and a honey comb type structure inside to save on material, but still be rigid.

Not sure if I need to do that, because the model itself is pretty small, and most of the dimensions don't have a lot of depth.
