Hi, I have a reference 290x oem and I just wanna know if running stress tests on it is safe, as it runs on 95 degrees and the fan is loud. There is also a bit of tearing and black lines out of nowhere, but that's probably because I overclocked it too much.
Just making sure, dont want a dead 290x.

Thanks.

I assume you mean black lines. It's probably artifacting from your OC. Turn it down a bit.

Just random black shapes, lines, and things like that appearing on the screen. Lowering OC fixed it.

yeah thats called artifacting and you dont want that happening at all :)

It's fine. If it gets too warm, it'll shut down automatically to prevent itself from damage. But you should definitly decrease the overclock. Reference cards are not made to overclock.

You'll probably kill the card.

Definitly not.
