It is the most magical substance know to humans. Thermal Paste. It can come out in many different formations. Mine looked like the Apple logo.

If mine came out looking like an apple logo, I would set the computer on fire with gasoline and build a new one, because that system has been tainted.

Edit: Also the tube of thermal paste

If I didn't have to disassemble and waste the paste on there, I would post. It came out looking like grey liquid, in a line.

The projects never end in my line of work.

I'm going to do it just for you.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Never seen it before.

What the hell happened in that picture you link?

ahh this reminds me of that picture where somebody kinda wealded its CPU(AMD) to the cooler by using thermal paste that got hard.

I've been wanting to see someone do that with JB Weld.

Good luck getting that shit off lol

Did you expect everyone to take photos of their thermal compound? Or to disassemble and reapply just for a photo?

BRILLIANT! I must go buy a 5960x and try it on my board.

well, i i remind the story as it was, the CPU was stuck inside the mobo, since the cooler couldn't be removed.

add an idiot with some strength and you get what you expect, a internet story to remember.

After that, the only thing that could make it faster would be Vtec.

well, with 100s of 1000's of forum members, only about 10% have probably actually changed/installed a CPU and probably only you have done it in the last 24 hours.

Good idea for a thread, but like most of  the best forum ideas, it got handjobbed  by the internet.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.
