please help me in choosing mother board

I have asked this question previously but replies were to confusing so i am asking it one more time but this time i am attaching proper details of my parts.

 

I am really confused between Asus X99 V rampage, Deluxe, X99-E WS.

 

I will be using 2 GTX980  maybe 3(I doubt) and have no intention of using 4 SLI mode in future.

 

Processor Intel 5960x and 32gb(will upgrade to 64 in future) Corsair vengeance LPX

 

I will be using my system for work purpose mainly.

 

So based on my Specs and my requirement which motherboard should i get?

If you're not looking at quad SLi, or a PCIe heavy setup (sound card, raid card, etc.) don't buy the WS board. It's a specialst's product, and carries a serious price premium.

 

The deluxe was their entry level x99 board, nice full featured, and pretty to look at.

 

The rampage is pitched more at gamers, and overclockers.

 

EDIT: oh yeah, WS board supports ECC memory, don't know if you'll ever want it, but it's nice to have the option.

Yeah it does support ECC memory but Processor doesn't(I guess).

I would go with deluxe the rampage is good but i myself bought the deluxe because rog is grose

Had a quick peak through your origonal post, and I tend to agree with the person who said a deluxe was enough for what You're using it for. The pro's on the WS are many, but I can't see any applying to you. I'll list them just in case.

Plx chip for a total of 64 PCIe lanes. (with 5930k, or 5960x)

Support for quadro, tesla, and firepro cards.

Xeon support

ECC memory support.

Support for enterprise grade cards.

 

If you don't need those, don't buy this board. It's freeking expensive compared to the next step down.

Ahhhh, the joys of not living in Australia. Mine was closer to $800.

Don't forget to include the Wifi card you apparently need.

 

BTW something came up while I was double checking specs. There's now an ASUS usb 3.1 add on card.(comes bundled with certain versions of the deluxe, and rampage)

I will get wifi card and also make sure I ask for usb 3.1 card too.
