Hi, I have been configuring a build for about 2 years now and am getting close to buying the parts. I want to get this right as the build has to last me at least 5 years ( with upgrades ). The build will be used for gaming, productivity and some basic video editing. Note that the CPU is run on a Z97 board meaning that I can upgrade to an i5 4690k later on in life.

Here's the build:

Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 970 4GB AMP! Extreme Core Edition Video Card  (£313.99 @ More Computers)
Wireless Network Adapter: Asus USB-N13 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Wi-Fi Adapter  (£18.98 @ Novatech)
Case Fan: Arctic Cooling Arctic F12 74.0 CFM 120mm  Fan  (£3.72 @ Aria PC)

Not a bad build. not very future proof though. I would suggest a full ATX MB with SLI capabilities. And something like a 650watt PSU so you can ft another graphics card in later and not have to replace your PSU.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?
