I'm wondering if this build is good for <£400 [Suggestions are awesome]

Go to solution Solved by Imakuni,

Ok, did so.

Now one last question, do ALL of the wires come with the parts?

Uh... I'm not sure.

  1. For instance, my CPU cooler didn't come with any screws to fix it onto the case (the radiator). Luckly, I found ones inside my case "bag" of screws that fit it.
  2. My PSU also didn't come with the power chord. That was actually a good thing, as the plug type in my country is different than others, so I had to use a cable dedicated for that.

However, aside for those, I had everything else I needed.

So, after just a couple of months I might be ditching my Laptop by giving it to my little brother and get a gaming PC instead.

My laptop is a Acer Aspire E5-551 was £399.99 and has a AMD A10-7300 with 1.9GHz-3.2GHz Quad-Core. Also has a bad so thats why I want an upgrade. (It also had a 1TB HDD which I have nearly filled with games.

So, this is my choice for a new PC (By the way, I know how to build PC's, I watched a few tutorials)

So, is my choice good? Are there any upgrades that I can add?
I also want that PC to run games at 40+ FPS on current games and so that it'll last for the next couple of years.

It's good, but change the mobo to an h81, and the CPU to an i3.

Read this quote of mine. Applies to your build:

Haswell Refresh incompatibility detected. When using H81/B85/Z87 mobos, make sure NOT to use any CPU from this list. Alternatively, when using such CPUs, make sure to pick a Z97/H97 mobo.

Basically, just change the CPU to the i3-4130/40. Do that, and your build is perfect.
