Painting heatsinks

Greetings,

I have some aerosol spray paint and a nasty looking deepcool frostwin.What I want to do is,paint the whole thing black,excluding the contact surface of course.But there is one thing I am worried about that is the paint being affected by the high heat environments.I don't really care about the performance being decreased as my CPU never goes above 50c even under 100% load for 2 hours.

It would work with that paint but it will heavily effect the cooling performance, it would be better to just paint the top cover which you see or get a cooler like the dark pro 3. You can paint it but I personally wouldn't suggest it.

I think hi heat paint( automotive or BBQ/stove) will no hinder the performance of the heatsink that much.
