G9x compared to corsair M45/65?

jdo1288

My mouse transitions over the past ~7 years has been

Razer Diamondback--->G9x(sensor death)--->Steelseries Xai---->Deathadder

Of these mice, I found the G9x to be the most enjoyable; however, there really aren't many miceout there that are comparable to it with its large grip attachment.

The most similar in form factor that I have found is the Corsair M45 and M65, but I don't have any experience at all with brands outside of logitech, razer, steelseries, and microsoft.

I believe the sensor in the M45 is the same that is in the Steelseries Rival.

Can anyone offer insight into these Corsair mice?

Well, skip the M65 if you want to stick to optical sensors. The M45 does indeed have the same Avago ADNS-3310 sensor as the SS Rival.

Great sensor all around. You could get that or the other Corsair mouse that resembles the G9x. The Corsair Sabre RGB Optical, it uses the Avago ADNS-S3988 that the DA 2013 has.

Thanks Shaqo, have you ever used either of those personally?

I used the M45 briefly, it was too small for my giant hands. :P

Felt solid, had great tracking as is to be expected with the 3310 sensor.

Haven't used the Sabre, seems to be a solid package if the reviews on it are to be believed.
