So i will upgrade my memory to 16gb hyperx savage.

Should i go 2x8gb or 4x4gb with this motherboard?

2x8GB gives much better upgradability.

More like GIVES upgradeability.

Technically you could just buy 2x8GB and change out two 4GB sticks so..

Damn you and your logic.

depends on the price, getting 4x4 will make no difference. (correct me if im wrong)

so i'd go with the 2x8 as its usually cheaper.

2 would be ideal. This is a dual channel board. The only reason 4 would be optimal is in a quad channel board.

Between 2x8GB and 4x4GB, there is no difference in performance, provided they are the same CAS latency and speed.

EDIT: In this board at least. 4 sticks is only better in quad channel boards.

In fact, 4x4gb is worse than 2x8, as it puts more strain on the memory controller.

Also, why are you upgrading to 16gb? It the answer is "gaming", stop right there, you are wasting money.

With 4 sticks of ram you fill up all your slots which is more aesthetically pleasing.

When a girl comes over she's going to be like DAYYYAAMMMm dats alot of ram... wow you filled it all in... wanna fill me in?

Of course I can't speak if this is true or not because I've never gotten a girl to come take a look at my rig... if u know what i  mean...
