How does it work, do you need anything special? Could I install it on a laptop with no OS on it? Or do I need windows already on it

Reddit will forever be reliant on the integrity of people. I've never bought from it, but my friends have, so I have no idea about good sellers. Also, if you do go that route, read comments about the poster. If that's too much work, either take your chances or pay full price.

Get the windows n version because it's even cheaper, 15 dollars.

Otherwise if you're a student you can sign up for dreamspark and download a copy of windows for free.

Getting things cheaper lower than the RRP There is ALWAYS a catch.

 

Unless you buy second hand. In which case the person can still phone up MS Complain someone has your key, disable it then issue a new one.

Yeah, you can only get embedded unless you actually connect to your schools account.

Prettty much the same thing though.

No, you probably used your email from your school to validate your account.

You get an access code or something.

Embedded is the OS that is more suitable for well... embedded applications.

It is the full OS it just has some extra features for various different applications it can be used for.

I ran it as a main OS until I could get a real 8.1 key and it worked perfectly, no problems.

You would have to talk to your I.T guy at school to see if they have an account, if they do he should give you some sort of access code.

Anyway, when you do get enough money I do recommend getting a key from the reddit software page, I don't know if the embedded version will qualify for free Windows 10 and it probably won't.
