Corsair 540 High Airflow Build

ZombieHawk

Hey guys!

I am planning to build a Haswell system in the 540 airflow case.

I will be overclocking the i7 4770k but I am not very sure which cooler to get.

I already have the Noctua NH-D14 and I know how beastly that cooler is but it is massive, and it will cover up most of my motherboard and the beautiful ram I am getting. ( I am getting the Gigabyte z87x-ud4h with vegeance pro series red and silver rams, trust me it looks sexy together)

As we know the Corsair 540 lets you have a very very clean build. So I was thinking about getting the h100i but how does it differ in performance? I never had a water cooled cpu. Also does corsair have any 280mm radiators? and are they any good?

Thanks guys!

H100i is a great cooler. If you want a 280mm rad corsair has the h110 but it doesn't come with the link software or the customize able LED on the block.

Thanks for the reply! I have some more questions,

Can I change the LED on the 100i to glow red?

Is the 110 better in performance wise? I would guess it is. But how much better the question is,

I would opt for the Corsair H100i instead, it will look very clean in the case, and with the right fans it would just look beast.

Yes you can customize the LED to just about anything.

h220 with a 360 and 140 rad added would be way better than a h100...

Anything I write is just a comment, take is as such, there is no guarantees associated with anything I say.

the H110 performs better because it has a bigger radiator, but it has very strange screw spacing, it can only be mounted in corsair cases, and its not as new as the h100i, the H110 is only a little bit better, which wouldn't have any dramatic impact on your CPU anyways so i would get the h100i :) im getting the same case and it is awesome.

The 4770k is made from molten lava, your tiny h100i is no match, sadly.

I would look at the swift tech 220

This can beat the h100i by upto 20℃

how ever in this case it won't

but it will still beat the h100i

By a noticeable margin with propper fans ofc

Because Hasewell runs HOT*!!!
