Gtx 970 sli

PcAaron

Hello everyone, i was just wondering, with all this going on about the 970 only having 3.5GB of VRAM if i was to buy another 970 and have it SLI would that completely eliminate the worry about that slower chunk of 500mb Ram???

No, you will still have 4gb of effective vram.

Edit: DX12 Might pool together the vram but we don't know yet.

The ram isn't added together, so you would have 2 cards, but still the 3.5GB vram + 0.5GB which runs a bit slower....

I think there was something about dx12 changing something about this?
Someone else might know, but dx12 isn't out yet.

When in doubt: C4

No you would have the same amount of Vram as with on card so 3.5gb + 0.5gb.
