Honestly i didn't expect it to cost the same as a 3970x. I was surprised though as Linus said it wouldn't be a retail chip

must be packing some wicked heat by the looks of it even requires liquid cooling so what is it just a fx8350  over clocked to 5.00ghz

Expected it , the chips used are EXTREMELY cherry picked , rumours have confirmed only 1 put of 100 chips make it to a FX 9590...

Was just about to make a thread about this, saw the pricing on PCCG. Wow. How does AMD expect to sell any of these? A far as I know it's just a cherry picked $229 (in Australia) 8350 that's overclocked. And 220w TDP? Nope. It even says it requires liquid cooling, what a joke of a product.
