to make this easy, "all APU" (so far) can only H crossfire with a 6670

because inside they, there still are 6000 series gpu (and not the 7000 series)

so, the max card you can H CF is the 6670

the idia is that, you can start with a powerful gamer "low" setup like the APU A10 B)

then, you can buy a mid range card like the 6670 and add to that the performace of the APU gpu

and at the end, buy a big powerful high level range card "leaving the APU gpu out" (like the 7850) :wub:

Actually it is proven that a 7750 can Hybrid CF with a 6800K and a A10 5800K as it allows you to CF them in the Catalyst.

It's actually NOT crossfire , it's DualGpu , it'll scale slightly worse and in most cases it ISN'T Worth it unless you already have a 6800K and you happen to be willing to spend 90-100 Bucks on a GFX card.

but the thing is... (this are just random numbers to make the example clear and easy)

A10 = 30

6670 = 60

A10 + 6670 = 90

7850 = 150

Does this Dual GPU setup work on ALL motherboards or is it only certain ones

I never seen anything about Motherboards but im assuming since its not CF it can be done with ANY board as long as you use Catalyst on your Harddrive to enable it

Yes you can use any motherboard that supports the APU. And you can set it up with a 7750 but it doesnt scale as good as a 6670 and you save money.

in other words...

if you plan target the "low range" gpu... buy a A10

if you plan target the "mid range" gpu... is a grey area (is up to you)

if you plan target the "high range" gpu... buy a 4 cores cpu and a 7850 gpu (you don't need a APU here)
