EVGA Hadron Hydro

Go to solution Solved by Nup,

I'd imagine its the pump alright. Is it touching bare metal?

If its not too visible you could just ghetto something for it out of old foam form packages.

Hello Everyone,

I recently built a mITX PC with EVGA's Hadron Hydro and Hadron Hydro Watercooling Kit (I've never built a waterloop in a mITX form factor before so I wanted something simple). After installing all the parts and finishing the water loop I switched it on, installed Windows and everything is great. The computer works fantastic, but there is one slight annoyance that I hope can be solved. Whenever I attach the windowed side panel there is a pulsating sound reverberating from the case. My first assumption was that it could be resonance; since it is a small case and there is no anti-vibration mounts or foam. I can't think of anything else other than that. I did think it could be the GPU, but it's really doubtful. Maybe the water pump? I know may be a vague question, but any help or insight would be appreciate. Also, If you think I should buy anti-vibration mounts and/or foam where is the best place to buy?

Here are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.4GHz

MOBO: ASRock H97M-ITX/ac LGA 1150 Intel H97 HDMI SATA 6G

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz

HDD: Silicon Power S60 3K P/E Cycle Toggle MLC 2.5" 120GB 7mm SATA III 6Gb/s Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 Overclocked 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

PSU: Integrated 500W Gold Rated Power Supply w/40A on +12V Rail

Thank you for any and all help!

That's a good idea, I'll see if I can put something behind the pump. Thanks!

I put some left over foam from the water block installation on the side panel and it seems to be working. Thanks for the advice.

Glad it worked!

Anytime :)

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?
