Far Cry 4 Crashing Instantly

Go to solution Solved by Deletive,

G3258... game doesn't natively support dual cores.

I've recently built my pc and have been gaming happily on it so i decided to buy Far Cry 4, but now i'm not such a happy camper. Far Cry 4 will pull up a black screen and after a couple of seconds stop responding. Is anyone else having this problem? I've verified install and everything is fine. If you guys could halp me out or just confirm that i wasted $50 i would appreciate it.

Here is my build.

I'm going to switch to a 4690k when i get the money. This little dual core is quite a bit of fun though.

Yup, the devs never changed it from the console versions where it HAS to use the 3rd core, so with a dual core it has no idea how to use any of the cores, thus it crashes.

I thought there is an unofficial mod/patch to enable dual core CPU in FC4.
