Hey, guys this is my first post and I really wanted to know your opinion of my first build. First let me say I really had no clue on what to get for my first build. My main goal was to be able to run almost any game out there with all settings maxed out. Ok with that being said here is what I plan on getting.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600

GPU: ASUS STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5 GeForce GTX 970 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support G-SYNC Support Video Card

PSU: CORSAIR HXi CP-9020072-NA 750W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Power Supply

SSD: Intel 730 Series SSDSC2BP240G4R5 2.5" 240GB SATA 6Gb/s MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Hard drive: WD BLACK SERIES WD2003FZEX 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

1. I recommend a 290x as they can be had for $250

2. I recommend a G2 750w as they are high quality and I think cheaper

3. I recommend 1. No ssd as the difference isnt that big if you use windows 8 2. the mx100 ssd

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

This is a great build! I do however suggest a cooler for that i5 4690k. I'm personally not a water cooler fan.  B)  But thats just me since I don't wanna risk a leak. But You can get a great air cooler for around 40-50. If you wan't a water cooler, I would find a 80-120$ 240+mm All-in-one liquid cooler. If you are like me and you just want the best cooler, but is scared of liquid cooling, I would suggest the Cooler Master V8 GTS. This is great build for maxed out settings on almost every game on 1440p.   As for the graphics card, do keep in mind of the last 512mb of ram being 80% slower. A few games like BF4 and other games would be needing that. If this is too much of a issue, I would suggest a 290x like thekeemo said. Just so you can O.C. your graphics card, please get a 290x with a great aftermarket cooler, this card does run hot, or as I hear atleast.

MOTHERBOARD: some Asus motherboard CPU: I3-4130 GPU: Gigabyte(?) GT-1030 RAM: 8GB G.SKILL SNIPER 1600MHZ RAM + 4GB AMD ram PSU: Corsair CX450 CASE: Corsair Spec-03 OS: Win 10 64 bit Keyboard: Logitech G510s Mouse: Corsair G300s Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T5
I like outdoor warning sirens. Ask me anything about them.
