Hey Forum, I recently purchased new parts for a new build. It's an Intel Build, I wanted some thought on it.

-Intel 4790k

-EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB ACX 2.0 Superclocked Edition

-Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600

-Asus Z97-A 1150 Socket Intel Motherboard

-Corsair GS700W PSU

-Corsair H100i Liquid Cooler

-NZXT Crafted Series Black and Green (Plastic and Steel/Aluminum) Case

-Intel 520 Series SSD 180GB (Read: 555mb/s Write: 525 Mb/s)

-Western Digital 500GB HDD

-Windows 8.1 Pro. OEM

With all that being said, I'd like some feedback on the parts listed. Are they Beast? Or are they booty? (I know they're not bad, but I'm hoping they're decent for a nice solid, and reliable build.)

-A Small side note: My Recent  Razer Blackwidow Ultimate(4 Years Old too) shorted out on me. I was looking to invest in a new keyboard and I was thinking maybe either a Razer Chroma or a Corsair RGK95  As I really like the RGB keyboards, but I'm not too sure if I should stick with my roots, or try something new!

Thanks! :)

If your not doing editing of some short go with a 4690K.

Most of it seems solid. If you're just using it for gaming I'd go with the i5-4690k over the i7-4790k.... When it comes to gaming you won't notice a difference and you'll save a bunch of money... Also, if you can find one I'd go with a clearance 780TI over a 970. TBH, if I didn't need HDMI 2.0 I'd go with a 780TI over a 980.

Hard to comment on the case. Nzxt has 3 case models available in black & green.

Hard to comment on the memory. Corsair offers several Vengeance DDR3-1600 16GB memory kits.

If the GS700W is the 80+ Bronze model, then its a good psu.Personally, I prefer modular psu.

For the same cost one likely could have gotten a 240GB ssd.

A 1TB Seagate Barracuda or WD Blue would have been a better choice. WD offers more than 10 models of 500GB hdd. Without knowing which model was bought it is hard to comment on its suitability.

Were there any particular features that lead to the choice of Windows 8.1 Pro instead of standard?

Other than the build being tight on storage, it is not bad. It may not be optimal bug it should perform nicely.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
