I agree on the pre-orders for games, however (devil's advocate) rockstar may not mess up gta v because of the delays to better fix bugs, also since there preorders are astronomical they are probably laid back to the point where they can have a smaller dev team fixing bugs and release the game late and still make a huge profit.
