help strange this happening

I have had a problem a few times with my primary display , ive tried the normal reinstall of drivers and checked my gpu (msi r9 270) and all seem fine tnt second display carries on like nothing happened and the pc seems fine all the connects are good and ive tried different cables

Try plugging your display to your motherboard and see if any changes occur. Obviously this is going to default the GPU to your iGPU, so don't expect any games

This is what its doing, its not often but has happened a few times, i tried plugging it into the motherboard ill get back if it stops happening.

Is your gpu overclocked at all?

no its standard, no over clock its happened once since but im not sure whats causing it

Switch the display cables.

ive used different cables tried it at standard clock and over clock and even slightly under clocked it but all with no results,

If you've checked the GPU, cables and the other monitor is not affected then it could be the monitor, does it have a different input you could try using it on see if its the specific input?
