bootable usb win7 64bit

Go to solution Solved by Alibaladin,

I made bootable usb with win7 64bit OS and when doing it with PowerISO I was getting error when booting "disk read error occurred".

Then I tried it with rufus and now when I select boot from usb it says somethnig like "loading os [new_line] press any key to boot from USB" and whatever I do in about 2 sec it boots from my main drive.

Solution?

edit: after pressing "any key bla bla" it says "disk read error occured" even with rufus

Reformat your USB. Use WBI Creator.

You can download an ISO matching your key from here : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

Using the Windows 7 USB tool I linked to follow the attached steps...

Last two images are what you should end up with..

Thing is that this was test install on my pc as secondary boot and I didn't wanted to waste sisters key that she will be using on her new build :)

That's why I didn't go with official way :)

Windows 7 you don't need to enter a key during install so you could try it for 30 days...

He doesn't want to use a key

He might want to use a trail or use a hacktivator (irrelavant)

He might not even own a key

He WOULD need to register the key to download (last time I looked)

I do not want to see HUGE IMAGES

OP:

Just torrent it. You can find many plain, uncracked versions and aslong as people are seeding and not leaching it will never die. Also, please don't give me the illegal bull asfor there is nothing with with peer to peer file sharing.

I had this.

One way I fixed it was doing the following.

1. Turn PC On press F* Key to get into boot menu

2. Plug in USB ONCE AT THE BOOT MENU

3. Boot from USB Storage, Device should now boot.

Also, I suggest using win32disk imager. It's never failed for me.

"He does want to use a key" was a typo and I highly support you pirating it. Microsoft voilated their XP contract and they will always find a way to get your money. They are skums of the earth.
