bootable usb win7 64bit

Go to solution Solved by Alibaladin,

I made bootable usb with win7 64bit OS and when doing it with PowerISO I was getting error when booting "disk read error occurred".

Then I tried it with rufus and now when I select boot from usb it says somethnig like "loading os [new_line] press any key to boot from USB" and whatever I do in about 2 sec it boots from my main drive.

Solution?

edit: after pressing "any key bla bla" it says "disk read error occured" even with rufus

Reformat your USB. Use WBI Creator.

SOLVED: I converted ISO with WBI and than burned it to USB. That solved the problem!

your iso file is corrupted, either bad dvd or wrong setting when you make an iso.

I don't want to break any violation by linking to the site.

but you can grab iso from torrent tracker which already contain with the latest update

I downloaded it from torrent with latest updates.

Will try manual and will try to force check file.

I have used the ISOs from here : http://www.techverse.net/download-windows-7-iso-x86-x64-microsofts-official-servers/

and used the MS tool : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

to make bootable USBs when doing fresh installs for friends and family who have no idea what recovery media is :-)

Check the MD5 sum of the ISO and make sure it's the right one.

How you mean right one?

When you're downloading an ISO, it should also tell you what the MD5 Sum of that particular ISO is, so you can check if the download was somehow corrupted. However, it's not necessary, and even less likely if you're using torrents.

But I cant find MD5 sum on torrent page or in my file.

I tried force recheck and it was good.

I will download what other guy said.

Use ISOtoUSB.  Really simple and easy to use.  Make sure you don't have a corrupted ISO though.   ;)

Link fixed

in article it says:

NOTE: Microsoft has stopped providing Windows 7 ISO images directly to the public. At this time your only option is to borrow a installation DVD from a friend or obtain a replacement media.

So I cant download there...

I also tried what @Blebekblebek said and it still does not work.

@k4p84

@Nineshadow

@Alibaladin

@Dautin

I used 3 different ISO files and 2 different usb flash sticks and neither combination worked. I noticed it wont let me use FAT32 for some reason so I always end up using NTFS.

I think only thing I can do now is burn a dvd :(

format your thumb drive to NTFS? Did you use WBI creator after that?

As I said I always ended up using NTFS.

I think that after trying 2 programs and even manual (trough cmd) third program wont fix my problem.

But I will give it a try now.

Its normal to use NTFS usb boot. All you need is to input the ISO file into the drive via wbi creator,
