I sadly use HDMI, just broke a cable and the connector on my monitor, but fixed the connector in my monitor after fiddeling for 15 minutes :/. For my 4 monitors I use once HDMI, once VGA, and twice VGA to DVI-I.

HDMI below version 1.3 can't display 2560x1600 at 60 FPS, but DVI always could.

Hence why typically DVI is better if the output unit is slightly aged (which it often is, like on year-old or older graphics cards)

New units with HDMI outputs will be functionally as good as DVI.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Display port if my monitor supported it, DVI is what I use, my only other choice is VGA.

Dude. How can you have a GTX 980 and an X99 rig but still be using a monitor with VGA.

I'm still using DVI on a 1080p TN panel. But I'm gonna get a Freesync monitor ASAP, so yeah, DisplayPort is what I really want.
