Kinda an unfair comparison. The 4790k is leaps ahead of the 9370. However, I guess it makes sense because even AMD's best processor falls short to Intel. (I've owned CPUs from both, not fanboy)

Wishing leads to ambition and ambition leads to motivation and motivation leads to me building an illegal rocket ship in my backyard.

Another biased and useless comparison between a $340 cpu and a $215 cpu.

Can someone lock this before a flame war starts?

yes intel is better, and yes we all recommend it over AMD

game was still perfectly playable on AMD for 90% of people it will still be fine

But yes if you are building a new gaming PC, i5/i7 all the way

No, because it's retarded. It is not, and has never been, a fair competition when using different components (GPU) to compare two CPUs.

Don't bother trying to start an argument. I'm not going to fuel this fire. As a last statement, you'll find that the 9370 does a far better job multitasking than any of the i5's, and still has some advantages. Depending on what you need, either is better.

here....its more fair in a sense both use the same parts

Ok I can agree on that...however you could get a Xeon..

Intel <3, but were both the same ram,gpu and so forth?

Edit: Not the same specs Vlad :( so kinda useless.

But intel would eitherway win tho

I just saw they weren't the same exact specs. Who the hell tests two different video cards than compares them.

Except even then, the physical 8 cores still multitask better than 8 simulated cores. Yes, a Xeon is a great multitasker, Hell, i was inches from getting one in my current rig until I got a great deal on my 4790K, but the 9370 and 9590 are still amazing for super budget render farms.

This seriously tempts me to take my FX-8350 and build a test bench with it, to compare it from my rig.

Do it :)

Simple.

Gaming: 4690K

Streaming, multi tasking: 8350

Why do people always say this? 4690k and 8350 have almost the same multithreaded performance when doing things like rendering (yes I know 8320, what you should get instead if you did get an FX8, is a bit cheaper, ignoring the i5-4460 also). http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/285199-harrynowls-ultimate-cpu-showdown-wip/

Streaming/recording you can use Quick Sync, AMD GVR, or Shadowplay for barely any performance hit.

What even is 'multitasking'? Having multiple programs open? A potato can do that...

RIP in pepperonis m8s
