Xeon E3 - 1220v2 overclock?

Go to solution Solved by Prastupok,

you do it like any othwr oc but it doesn't go over its stock speed much

This is incorrect. Most other overclocks do it by multiplier. Xeons have a locked multiplier. You can adjust the base clock a little, but I wouldn't recommend more than about 10% more.

Xeons really aren't designed for overclocking. The only ways are to force the turbo to be always on or to adjust FSB/BLCK speeds. Both of which don't offer much in terms of speed boosts and aren't a very good or stable way of overclocking.
