Well, I accidentally thought DX12 was a standard. (Confused it with DX11). I thought it was available in Windows 8.

People have said DX12 combines VRAM. I was like "I used the 7850 Dual with DX12 and never had it combine".

Well, I just found out something, I wasent face palming after all.

Um I thought DX12 didnt launch yet...

Or am I facepalming again...

I am facepalming again... Well so can I combine VRAM now?

I dont think its going to work on a system level like you think its going to be something a game can take advantage of to make 2 cards come off as one. And being there are no dx12 games...well...

Can I combine vram?

no, drivers have to be made by AMD or nvidia to allow that technology to work

it is WAY more difficult than just "have DX12 and it works"

Well isint BF Hardline coded with DX12 and Mantle?

i know it supports mantle, idk about DX12

if it does then youre getting a performance improvement over older DX versions, nothing special like combined vram :P

OK, sorry for these questions but at maxed with aa and maxed out I got 65 fps without mantle in bf4. Without mantle in bfh I got 86 FPs. It seems to me bfh has better graphics... So why is that...

How am I doing that

you said without mantle you got 65fps, then without mantle you got 86fps

so how are you getting two different framerates without mantle...

i would expect one of them to be with mantle and the other without...

The one with 86 was battlefield hard line. If its beta, does that mean its graphics are cut down?

no the graphics should be the same as they will be in the full release...

so they must have made performance improvements
