HDMI fps

this is a question I've had for a long time apparently HDMI 1.4 can run at 30 fps and HDMI 2.0 can run at 60 fps is this true and if so which should I get for gaming

I believe those are 4K resolution.

On 1080p you will always have 60Hz/fps

Personally, I will always stick to DisplayPort or DVI-D when gaming or doing "high res-high frame rate" tasks.
