Hi. I'm planning a custom loop and i was wondering if anyone could share their thoughts.

What i want to do is cool my 3770k and whichever graphics card i decide on (7970 - 780). I only have room for 2 dual rads so i was thinking 2 x 45mm dual 120's, or even one 45 and one 65. Will i be alright?

Thanks,

Chris.

You guys are crazy. You know you guys are self-destructive. There's a funny farm somewhere and it's got your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' outta here.

Hi. I'm planning a custom loop and i was wondering if anyone could share their thoughts.

What i want to do is cool my 3770k and whichever graphics card i decide on (7990 - 780). I only have room for 2 dual rads so i was thinking 2 x 45mm dual 120's, or even one 45 and one 65. Will i be alright?

Thanks,

Chris.

you should be fine with that setup, i personally aim for 120mm worth of rad per component plus one, so if im doing a cpu plus 2 gpu's i aim for a 480mm rad usually 60mm thick :) but thats just my preference and its never faulted me yet

Alright cool thanks.

Do you guys think it'll be loud at all? I'm cool with it getting loud under load, but i don't want it making a whole bunch of noise all of the time.

So you're doing two 240 radiators?

If you are then you should be fine with having the fans at their lowest. Just try to get as thick of rads as you can fit.

Noise depends of course on what type of fans you're planning on using. make sure you get fans with high static pressure so you can run them at lower rpm without loosing cooling performance.

I want to go with Sp120's. It's a shame they don't do 140's though, cause i could have one 280 rad in my loop.

SP120 are good... almost inaudible up to about 7v.

I was thinking of letting the mobo control them. Will that be ok? I planned to use one of these...
